Discovering Poros:
Poros stands out as a charming island, easily accessible from Athens and certain points along the eastern coast of the Peloponnese. Here, you'll uncover various options to journey to this enchanting destination!
Don't overlook the necessity of acquainting yourself with local transportation alternatives to facilitate your transfer to Xenia Poros Image Hotel and navigate through every corner of Poros effortlessly!

Ferries
Regular ferry services and hydrofoils operate from Piraeus Port in Athens to Poros. Ferries are spacious vessels capable of transporting both passengers and vehicles, while hydrofoils are nimble speedboats designed exclusively for passenger transport. Additionally, ferries typically complete the journey to Poros in approximately 3 hours, whereas hydrofoils whisk you to the island in just an hour.
Aside from Athens, there are ferry connections linking Poros with several islands in the Saronic Gulf, such as Aegina, Hydra, and Spetses.
From Galatas, a seaside town in the Peloponnese, ferry boats swiftly transport travelers to Poros in just 10 minutes, with departures occurring every 30 minutes. There are also small traditional boats available departing every 10 minutes from the port of Galatas. However, they do not transport vehicles.
In high season there are itineraries available 24/7.

Athens International Airport
Poros lacks its own airport. The nearest air hub is Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos," servicing domestic and international flights year-round. Upon arrival at Athens airport, your next step involves reaching Piraeus port to board the ferry bound for Poros. Of course, you can contact us directly in order to organize together your private transfer from the airport directly to our hotel.

Traveling by Car
Accessible by car from Galatas in the Peloponnese, Poros offers straightforward access via the Greek National Road Athens - Corinth. Following the Corinth Canal, travelers should proceed towards Epidaurus, where signage directs them to Galatas. From the port of Galatas, ferries accommodate vehicles for a swift 10-minute journey to Poros.
For those without personal transportation, consider renting a vehicle for convenient sightseeing excursions!
